•••••••••••START WITH YOURSELF•••••••••••

“I was born with a deep knowing of happiness and contentment, even when I didn’t feel it. It’s been the central blessing and curse of my life. Having the sense that I could be truly happy somehow has been the nearly obsessive motivation for to analyze and evolve all the obstacles to that goal. When I consider my life as a whole, I see it as strange, in a way. I look at my experiences and choices, and it seems to like it’s all been so intense. I have been pushed and pulled, flattened and exalted (like all of us), and this hard-wired standard of happiness never allowed me to take it lying down. The blessing being passionate and tenacious enough to learn why being human is so multi-faceted and contradictory,  and the curse being very exposed, obsessed and constantly living with an acute level of awareness of all my feelings, all the time. I’ve come to accept this is just how I am, and it’s my gift. I have made choices that have been hard on me-detours even(?), but also grist for the mill for what feels like my life’s purpose-that is to turn the focus inward and then share it outwardly. I have put myself back together piece by piece and I have the skills to explain how others might do that too. Heartfire Project has become my expression and vehicle for all I’ve learned and my offering to humanity, the product of that vision of happiness and contentment.”

MOLLY HART

MOLLY HART is a freelance graphic designer and the mother of two adolescent boys. She splits her time between an idyllic gold rush town in the foothills of the Sierras, and an incredible hacienda off the grid and in the woods with her beloved. She loves contemplating the nature of the universe, the natural world, reading, writing, designing and making stuff. Also, good food, bubbly, and excellent conversation with excellent people.

“E asy. Happy. Peaceful. This is how I have been described as a baby and young child, pretty unanimously. It's interesting how my nature was identified so early, as my life has carried me in so many directions, I have evolved from almost the moment my feet hit the earth.

And it is true that my nature has carried me through, the steady fact of my life. My heart was wide open from the beginning, my compassion for others the defining path forward. I feel others deeply, and their experiences are very important to me, whether they are strangers or intimates.

Nature met purpose in my late 20's when I discovered the tools to help people without destroying myself.  I learned the power of witnessing, the depth of acknowledging another person's experience as valid and worthy, by definition.  I also learned to utilize my own unique talent for seeing through the chaos, and identifying truths.  It likely set the course for my own healing, which has been continued to be a relentless pursuit.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to be present for others. Because when any one person gets closer to health and happiness, then that spreads— to their families, their friends, the people they meet on the street. It's that growing, spreading element that is the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed. A person walking from darkness toward light, and the people they bring with them as a result. It is the honor of my life to share myself, my understanding and experience for this purpose."
